Mission in action

Where your funds are invested

Our values-based strategy is dedicated to transforming education via the teacher and fostering the development of a more resilient Cameroon.

In order to improve the social and economic capabilities of children, their families, and the society at large—and ultimately lay the groundwork for their eventual independence—AMPAM HOPE FOUNDATION is working with nine community-level committees to carry out four community development projects.

Educational Challenges in Cameroon

Cameroon, like many other African nations, faces a number of educational challenges that limit access to excellent education and obstruct the development of human capital. Significant gaps remain in educational access, quality, and relevance despite recent improvements, particularly for underserved populations and in rural areas. The primary problems of Cameroon’s educational system are insufficient funding, gender disparity, subpar instruction, incompatibilities in vocational training, and a lack of facilities and resources. In order to reduce poverty, promote inclusive and sustainable development, and improve the general well-being of the population, these challenges must be addressed.

Individuals Take Pleasure in Their Right to Education

Not only is education a fundamental human right, but it is also a prerequisite for the fulfillment of other rights. Moreover, education is the foundation of self-empowerment and provides a chance for people to enhance their own skills and quality of life.

Our Focus on Education

Every child should have the right to a high-quality education, regardless of their gender, financial status, or social standing. We assist parents and other caregivers in comprehending the importance of child education in order to guarantee such access. We support the development of teacher skills and improved educational environments, particularly with regard to removing barriers to education for girls.

Enabling access to lifelong education

Lack of fundamental literacy and numeracy abilities in adults who have not received a formal education can impede their ability to connect and communicate with others, bargain at the market, or conduct financial transactions. As a result, we offer people a range of training programs so they can acquire these abilities and become more self-sufficient.

One of the prerequisites for exercising other human rights is the right to health, which is universal. But the right to health is not available to everyone. Numerous individuals, especially expectant mothers and children, still lack access to essential health services, which contributes to high rates of maternal and infant mortality as well as a number of infectious diseases. Moreover, the lack of adequate and clean water sources puts millions of people at serious danger for poor health and living situations as a result of consuming too little water and contracting water-borne illnesses.

Providing basic healthcare to everyone

We want to allow the delivery of high-quality healthcare that satisfies everyone's fundamental needs by advocating for policies and building the ability of health service providers. We also advocate for the creation of community-based health aid programs to help people who cannot afford basic medical care.

Facilitating the availability of high-quality services for sexual reproductive health (SRH) and maternal and child health (MCH)

We work to increase community knowledge of maternity and child health services and the ability of service providers to meet the needs of mothers and infants. Through raising awareness, we also encourage the adoption of healthy sexual and reproductive behaviors.

Assisting people in obtaining clean water and sanitary facilities

Promoting the availability of clean water for individuals and To guarantee that everyone has access to enough clean water, we collaborate with local communities. We encourage people to maintain hygienic habits and good hygiene. cleanliness

People often assume that hunger is just a lack of food. But in addition to food inadequacy, hunger can also result from issues with food access. Vulnerable individuals are the first to suffer in a hunger crisis if food prices spike as a result of abrupt governmental changes, disputes, cornering and hoarding, and food exporting to other areas.

Malnutrition is a contributing reason to hunger, after food accessibility. Chronic malnutrition disrupts a child's growth and impairs their development.

Our goal must be to eradicate hunger. First, we'll improve how responsive people and communities are to food insecurity. We will increase awareness of food security and emphasize the importance of being prepared for food security in order to create a well-organized response mechanism for communities. To maintain a steady supply of food and avoid disruptions from climate change and its repercussions, we will also teach communities sustainable farming techniques.

Making communities more resilient and ensuring food security

Promoting awareness of food security challenges and helping communities organize for collective action are important steps we have done to improve resilience and food security among the populace. Moreover, we prioritize aiding small-scale farmers in implementing productive and sustainable farming practices that enhance their resilience to natural catastrophes and climate change.

Helping people who are at risk of malnutrition

The most susceptible groups to malnutrition are women, children, and the impoverished. As a result, we take extra care to motivate communities to concentrate their combined efforts on the well-being of the most vulnerable. Our goal has been to make it possible for people to use locally sourced ingredients to ensure a balanced nutritional intake.

It is necessary to attain both social and economic empowerment in order to establish "a world without hunger, where people live in harmony." Economic poverty, in our opinion, is not only the consequence of personal apathy or incapacity but rather of socioeconomic issues that lead to a cycle of poverty for many people.

Breaking this poverty cycle has been a major focus of our work. Throughout the world, we have backed a number of income-generating initiatives to help those living in poverty become self-sufficient. To attain economic self-reliance via unity and collaboration, we will keep boosting the economic potential of individuals and advancing the social economy.

Encouraging the social economy for individuals

People are valued more than profit in GN's social economic activities. Therefore, we advocate for the implementation of democratic decision-making procedures in social economy groups to support equitable distribution. Additionally, our efforts through long-term collaborations gave firms the know-how they needed to boost revenue and market competitiveness.

Enhancing people's financial capabilities in the field

Along with advancing the social economy, we also assist those living in poverty in enhancing their financial and material access as well as their productive abilities. More options for people to improve their economic ability have been made possible by facilitating financial access.

A community's social structure has a significant impact on an individual's life. It is unfair for the social order to keep people in poverty. Oppression and social inequality are not normal or justified. Similarly, poverty resulting from those is not normal. Every human being has rights and dignity that cannot be taken away, including the freedom to live his life as he pleases.

The Ampam Hope Foundation aspires to create a world free from hunger. It is impossible to create a world free of hunger until prejudice and hardship are eradicated. In order to do this, we will assist individuals in eradicating prejudice and marginalization within communities and enhancing solidarity.

Encouraging nondiscrimination and inclusivity in communities

We encourage everyone to take their own steps to raise awareness of the need of nondiscrimination and inclusivity. In order to guarantee more inclusive and democratic decision-making, we collaborate with community-based organizations.

Supporting individuals in their endeavors to foster community solidarity

Building community solidarity involves encouraging communication and interaction amongst individuals. As a result, we concentrate on information exchange and community dialogue, which empowers everyone to take part in addressing problems in their surroundings. Additionally, we have made it a top priority to assist the community's modern and traditional community service projects.

To eradicate poverty, we think it's critical to create a sustainable environment. As a result, we will work to help people use resources sustainably and to attain environmental sustainability.

Encouraging individuals to conserve the environment

By giving individuals the chance to learn about climate change and what they can do to combat it, we increase public awareness of the issue. In order to support sustainable human settlement, we also help people construct high-quality, environmentally friendly housing and enhance their communities.

Getting resources to be used sustainably

We assist localities in establishing community-based management of natural resources. As a result, we assist communities in becoming more resource-efficient in their use and recycling.

Disasters cause infrastructure destruction as well as financial and human losses. The effects of climate change, in particular, are making disasters more frequent and severe and expanding into previously safe places. Communities with inadequate preparation resources are particularly susceptible to disasters, and the poor, women, and children frequently make up the majority of victims.

Disaster recovery is vital but frequently disregarded. Many regions of the world are home to tens of millions of refugees who fled their homes due to natural disasters and conflicts.

We'll help the community develop its ability to avert catastrophes and lessen their effects. Those who suffer from disasters will have our protection and assistance. We will support the sufferers so they can quickly return to their regular lives. We care about the rights of refugees as well. To help refugees exercise their rights and become more self-sufficient, we will offer support.

Helping communities become disaster-resilient

Together with the community, we strive to increase preparedness and reduce harm. The main goals are to increase public awareness of catastrophes and create community-based preparedness initiatives that strengthen local communities.

Helping individuals recover from calamities

We help and shield individuals affected by natural calamities. We ensure that in the event of a tragedy, the victim has access to the relief they need as quickly as possible. We'll also help the sufferers get back to their regular lives as quickly as possible.

Protecting the Rights of Refugees

We support refugees so they can exercise their rights and become more self-sufficient. We will take action to protect the refugees' health and life rights. Additionally, we will increase their independence by implementing livelihood and capacity building initiatives.
